Lake Allie Wastewater Treatment Plant - Wastewater Permit
We invite you to comment on the draft wastewater permit for the Lake Allie Wastewater Treatment Plant near Buffalo Lake.
The Lake Allie Environmental Subordinate Service District (ESSD) Wastewater Treatment Plant serves the residents of Lake Allie Ridge development and the clubhouse at the Oakdale Country Club Golf Course. The facility has proposed several modifications, including the addition of two 12,000 septic tanks, as part of an improvement project. The treated wastewater is discharged to the storage pond and will be used to spray irrigate approximately 40 acres of the Oakdale Country Club Golf Course. If approved, the permit will expire in five years.
A State Disposal System (SDS) permit regulates the discharge of wastewater to the ground surface to protect groundwater. The permit requires wastewater discharge restrictions that limit the type, quantity, and concentration of pollutants that can be safely discharged. The permit also requires frequent monitoring to make sure that the facility is not exceeding these limits.
